Two GBSF fighters represented Great Britain at the World University Savate Championships in Nantes, France, 23rd to 26th June 2010. Sian Clark (Cambridge Academy & Royal Veterinary College) and Catherine Gabriel (Oxford Savate & Royal Agricultural College) both returned with bronze medals. |

 The GBSF held a training day for existing and potential Savate instructors at the Leys Sports Complex, Cambridge, on Sunday 2nd May. It was attended by 20 people, from 8 clubs.

 The International Savate Federation has been accepted for membership of SportAccord (AGFIS). This is a big step along our route towards Olympic recognition.

 A few days before the celebration of its 25th anniversary, March 23rd, the International Savate Federation sent a delegation of fifteen members to Lausanne (Switzerland). Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee met with the delegation.

 In 2010, the city of Nantes, France, will host the 1st University World Savate Championships. This event will take place between 24th and 27th June 2010 and will bring together 250 athletes coming from 35 nations. Working with British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS), the national governing body for higher education sport in the UK, we have registered a team for this event.
