martin and rafal, cambridge, june 2009Twenty-three members, representing five clubs attended the training day in Cambridge in June. Ollie Batts (Cambridge) led a general warm-up session, after which members separated into groups to concentrate on grade-specific set moves and combinations. Junior members present tested for junior blue glove (2nd level). Adult members tested for blue, green and white glove ranks. James Southwood (London) led a workshop on Judging & Refereeing, including practical experience in scoring assaut bouts. Ollie also taught a session of savate defence, showing differences between sport savate and street savate.
